After more than 6 weeks in the photographic wilderness, I find myself re-energized and craving to go for a shoot. But the old voice-in-the-head stopped me right on my tracks.
Lessons from past shoots has taught me to be more selective of the projects that I take to ensure optimal satisfaction. Looking that I'm trying to increase the quality and quantity of the project outcomes, there will have to be a sacrifice in the frequency of projects that I undertake. With this in mind, I better come up with a tighter game plan than the anarchic manner which I had planned my previous shoots.
I'm talking about a total re-think of the logistics, pre-shoot planning, PP workflow.... pretty much everything.
Looking at the benefits, I do not think there will be any in terms of the creative output over the short term as I've seemed to reach a plateau. Rather than getting frustrated over that issue, I think it would be better to make each outing as painless and as enjoyable as possible.
